Safety Video is free explainers for people who still have to make that call: isolate it, climb it, or tie off. We write for the crew and the supervisor, not for a binder that never leaves the office.
This is written for the person still on the floor
You run a shop, a line, or a job. Someone new needs the 10-hour card before the GC will let them through the gate. Your millwrights argue about who holds the key. A painter wants to know if the extension ladder is “good enough” if the feet are on gravel.
You are not looking for a certificate mill, a DVD catalog, or a government portal. You want the rule in plain English, the move that actually prevents the injury, and an honest note when a link might earn us a commission later.
Start with the work that kills people
The OSHA 10 card is awareness training, not a license
If a contractor, a state rule, or your employer asks for the Department of Labor outreach card, take the 10-hour course from an OSHA-authorized provider. It does not replace the site-specific training your employer still owes you.
Online 10-hour classes exist. They have seat-time rules. Anyone promising a card in a single rushed sitting is not following the outreach program.
This is not a government site
Safety Video is independently operated. We do not issue DOL cards, we do not run an LMS, and we do not sell discs. When course or kit links go live, they will point to partners and carry a disclosure. Until then, the buttons go to the disclosure page so nobody pretends a checkout exists.
