About

This site is for people who do the work.

safety-video.com · independently operated

Safety Video explains industrial, manufacturing, and trades hazards in plain language. Lockout. Ladders. Falls. The OSHA 10 outreach card. You should be able to read a page on break and take something usable back to the floor.

We are not a government site, not an OSHA-authorized trainer, and not a school that issues Department of Labor cards.

Standard numbers you can take back to the floor

Short guides that lead with the answer. Real standard numbers when we cite them: 1910.147 for lockout-tagout, 1926.1053 and 1910.23 for ladders, 1926.501 for construction fall protection, 1910.178 when we talk forklifts.

Later, videos on the same topics. The writing comes first so the site is useful before a camera ever rolls.

What we are not

  • Not OSHA, not the Department of Labor, and not endorsed by either.
  • Not a training provider, LMS, or certificate mill. We do not issue cards.
  • Not a DVD store. We do not ship physical courses.
  • Not legal advice and not a substitute for your employer’s energy-control program, fall plan, or competent person.

How the site pays for itself later

Guides stay free. When affiliate programs are approved, some links will go to OSHA-authorized online outreach training and to suppliers of lockout kits and related gear. Those links will be disclosed, including Amazon Associates language where it applies.

Until those programs are live, course and kit buttons go to the disclosure page. We do not invent prices, traffic numbers, or testimonials to look busier than we are.

Mark Woeppel operates the site

The site is operated by Mark Woeppel. Copy is written for U.S. workplaces in second person because you are the one on the iron, the press, or the dock. If a page is wrong, it will be corrected. Standards change; we cite the number so you can read the current text on OSHA’s site.
